A reading room at the Italian Ministry of Economic Development for the access to confidential documents on TTIP

In today’s press release the Italian Ministry of Economic Development has announced the establishment of a reading room, at the Ministry, where parliamentarians and government officials will have access to confidential documents relating to the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). The reasons of this measure, according to the press release, include the guarantee of maximum transparency and dissemination of information on different positions within the ongoing negotiation between the European Union and the United States, also considering the role of the Ministry of Economic Development as national leading body for training.
