Besides being an useful and important “master and life companion”, sport is a tool of transmission of universal and healthy values. By encouraging people to challenge themselves, sport strengthens their minds and gets them familiar with sacrifice and strength. By demanding an increasingly better performance, sport teaches to overcome one’s limits; stimulates dreams, offers the thrill of victory and the lesson of defeat. Sport presupposes the respect of rules, without which it would not make sense. Sport teaches to respect the adversary, and clarifies that our first adversary is ourselves.
Shortcuts in sport do not pay off and do not teach anything, whereas effort is a constructive path that encourages personal growth.
These values are the founding pillars of Strategic Advice. GC
