Ai.Bi is an international NGO operating in 25 countries in the world, with offices in Eastern Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. Its mission is trying to give each abandoned child a family, in order to guarantee him/her the right of being a child. Abandoned minors is the 4th global humanitarian emergency of the 21stcentury: dying of hunger, it shows; dying of sickness, it shows; dying of war, it shows; being abandoned is like dying, but it does not show. Ai.Bi. works every day in order to fight this emergency, with projects aiming at protecting poor families and poverty in general, with specific interventions through foreign centers for abandoned children, and through assistance in Italy (establishment of foster care institutes and foster family networks).

Oxfam is the fourth confederation in the world specialized in humanitarian aid and development projects. During emergency operations, Oxfam is able to quickly supply safe drinking water and sanitary services to large populations affected by conflicts or natural disasters, just like it happened in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Pakistan and Haiti.
The goal of the activity carried out by Oxfam is that of helping people lift themselves out of poverty, autonomously. For this reason, Oxfam focuses on helping them hone their capacity to exercise their rights.
Oxfam represents civil society in the most important international organizations, from the Global Fund for fighting AIDS to the UN World Committee on Food Security. Over the years, Oxfam has contributed to the birth of great civil society movements, from the World Social Forum to the Global Coalition against poverty and the World Education Campaign.
Oxfam works in several sectors (economic justice, fairtrade, education, water and access to credit, civil rights, anti-discrimnation, assistance in the event of conflicts or natural disasters), with an integrated approach that binds together development projects, humanitarian actions, opinion campaigns and education projects.
